Terms and Conditions

1. Operator and agreement

The contracting operator's legal name, registered office, registration and tax details, customer-service contact and registry information will be inserted before commercial launch. By creating an account or ordering a plan after the final terms take effect, you agree to the version presented during that process.

2. The service

AIVUM GEN enables custodians to create biographical timelines, add life events, upload supported photographs and documents, select public or private visibility, view a map-based life journey and publish a memorial page that can be accessed through a dedicated URL or QR code.

Draft timelines remain in the authenticated workspace. Public QR access is available only after publication. Features described as future, pilot or unavailable are not part of the contracted V1 service.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials confidential and promptly report suspected compromise. App-based two-factor authentication is mandatory for protected workspace access. You remain responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

4. Plans, limits and payment

Plans may limit the number of timelines, events and storage available. Additional timeline capacity or storage may be offered separately. The checkout summary shown before an order— including price, taxes, billing period, applicable promotion and total—controls that order.

Payments are processed through Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. A plan change may affect available capacity; content will not be silently deleted solely because a lower limit applies. The product must explain any restriction and available remedy.

5. Contract term, renewal and cancellation

The final checkout and order confirmation must state when the contract starts, its duration, whether and how it renews, how to cancel, and when a plan change takes effect. These commercial rules are not yet approved and this draft does not create automatic-renewal terms.

6. Consumer cancellation rights

Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract. Before ordering, the final flow must provide the legally required information and withdrawal form. If immediate performance is requested, any effect on withdrawal rights requires the consumer's express request and acknowledgement in the manner required by applicable law; rights are not waived merely by using this website.

7. Custodian responsibilities

• Upload and publish only material you are entitled to use and disclose.
• Respect privacy, personality, copyright and other rights of living people and third parties.
• Use accurate visibility settings and review a timeline before publication.
• Maintain lawful source records or permissions where appropriate.
• Do not use an unguessable public link as a substitute for private visibility.

8. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not upload unlawful, threatening, hateful, defamatory, exploitative, privacy-invasive or infringing material; malware; deceptive content; or content that exposes authentication secrets. You must not interfere with security, scrape the service unlawfully, impersonate others or use the service to harass people.

9. Content licence

You retain your rights in content you upload. You grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, back up, adapt for technical display and show that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service and honour your visibility choices. This licence ends following deletion subject to the approved backup cycle and legal retention duties.

10. Reports and moderation

Public content may be reported. The operator may investigate notices, request information, restrict visibility, remove unlawful content or suspend accounts where proportionate. The final terms must publish the notice channel, moderation rules, reasons process and any appeal mechanism required under applicable law, including the EU Digital Services Act where applicable.

11. Third-party services

Payments, authentication infrastructure, maps, geocoding, email and hosting may rely on third-party services with their own terms. Map information is provided for orientation and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The operator remains responsible to the extent required by mandatory law.

12. Availability and changes

The operator may maintain, secure and improve the service and may experience interruptions. Material adverse changes to paid functionality will be communicated as required. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory conformity, remedy or consumer rights.

13. Retention and deletion

Deletion and preservation follow the Privacy Notice and the retention schedule that must be approved before launch. The service does not presently promise permanent preservation. A physical QR product or persistent identifier does not guarantee perpetual hosting of content.

14. Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted for serious or repeated breach, security risk, unlawful content or non-payment, using proportionate notice where feasible. Account deletion and termination consequences—including export availability, active subscriptions and content deletion—must be stated in the final commercial policy.

15. Liability

Liability will be governed by the final contract and mandatory law. No clause may exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, nor remove mandatory consumer remedies. Users remain responsible for their content and publication decisions.

16. Complaints, law and languages

The final terms will include customer-service, complaint-handling, conciliation and dispute-resolution information. Hungarian law may be selected without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections in their country of residence. English, Hungarian and Hebrew versions are planned; the controlling version must be designated before launch.
